King Midas wished for everything he touched to turn to gold. Though overjoyed at first, he came to regret his decision when his food and drink, and even his beloved daughter, were transformed into solid gold metal.

This painting is an inversion of Midas’s tragic story. In a dark world, you have the power to bring light to everything you touch.
